[ICML 2026] “How Does Reasoning Flow? Tracing Attention-Induced Information Flow for Targeted RL in LLMs” has been accepted to ICML 2026. The paper introduces FlowTracer, which models attention as a directed acyclic graph, traces answer-targeted information flow, and uses the resulting token credits to focus reinforcement-learning updates on consequential reasoning steps.
